UCSF Global Health Group’s Malaria Elimination Initiative (MEI)

Anne Bulchis

Anne Bulchis, MPH, is a Program Manager for Research & Communications at the UCSF Global Health Group's Malaria Elimination Initiative (MEI). In this role, Anne develops strategic communications activities and products in support of the MEI's malaria elimination agenda and communications goals, and leads the MEI’s work of tracking and analyzing country progress towards malaria elimination. Her interest lies in creating content that brings accessibility and clarity to health research, thereby paving the way for improvements in policy and practice.

Prior to joining the MEI in October 2015, Anne provided strategic guidance and project management to global health research projects at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME). She has over ten years of experience in the health industry, including leading a strategic planning project at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, providing technical assistance at AcademyHealth to US health officials in implementing state-level health reform initiatives, and creating and evaluating health communications products at the National Cancer Institute. She also edited English language learning books for native Spanish speakers while living in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Anne has an MPH in Health Policy & Management from Columbia University and a BA in Biological Sciences from Smith College.
