Anne Bulchis, MPH, is a Communications & Research Specialist at the UCSF Global Health Group's Malaria Elimination Initiative (MEI). In this role, Anne leads the MEI’s work of tracking and analyzing country progress towards malaria elimination and develops strategies and products for communications and evidence dissemination. Her interest lies in creating content that brings accessibility and clarity to health research, thereby paving the way for improvements in policy and practice.
Prior to joining the MEI in October 2015, Anne provided strategic guidance and project management to global health research projects at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME). She has ten years of public health experience, including leading a strategic planning process at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, providing technical assistance at AcademyHealth to US health officials in implementing state-level health reform initiatives, and creating and evaluating health communications products at the National Cancer Institute. She also edited English language learning books for native Spanish speakers while living in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Anne has an MPH in Health Policy & Management from Columbia University and a BA in Biological Sciences from Smith College.
