UCSF Global Health Group’s Malaria Elimination Initiative (MEI)

Emily Dantzer

Emily Dantzer is a Program Manager at the UCSF Global Health Group’s Malaria Elimination Initiative (MEI). Emily served as the in-country lead for the Preparing Lao PDR for Malaria Elimination grant, and is currently supporting projects in Guyana, Melanesia, and Thailand. Emily has nearly 15 years of experience in public health research design, implementation, and data analysis. Her work has spanned diverse disciplines (malaria, HIV, pneumonia, nutrition) and geographies, including residencies in Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Cambodia, and Lao PDR. Emily also served as a Public Health Education Volunteer with the United States Peace Corps in Kazakhstan.

Emily holds a Master of Health Science (MHS) degree in International Health/Human Nutrition from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, as well as BS degrees in Biology and Russian from the University of Michigan. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) in Global Health from the Boston University School of Public Health.
