Background paper on private sector malaria surveillance released
The UCSF Global Health Group's Malaria Elimination Initiative (MEI) is pleased to share a new paper entitled The Private Sector's Role in Malaria Surveillance. This paper is the fifth and final installment in the Malaria Elimination Background Paper Series funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The new background paper synthesizes current research and expert knowledge on the private health sector's role in malaria surveillance. The paper discusses how several countries have addressed key challenges and leveraged opportunities to engage the private sector for case management and response in malaria elimination settings.
