Prayuth Sudathip
Prayuth Sudathip is a public health specialist and holds a doctoral degree in public health from the University of Kentucky. He has led the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Thailand malaria elimination programs and Global Fund projects, Regional Artemisinin-resistance Initiative (RAI, RAI2, RAI3E and RAI4E grants in Thailand).
He has been involved in evaluation of malaria control programs and developed the Thailand national malaria elimination strategy for 2016-2024. He also leads the implementation of community-based malaria services, cross border malaria elimination, malaria post, and malaria elimination surveillance system in Thailand.
Currently, he collaborates with PATH and USAID-PMI to expand the role of village health volunteers in malaria services. Additionally, he has been working with UCSF on surveillance, sustainability and integration of malaria activities into broader health and local authority in Thailand. He also works with MMV to assess the feasibility of TQ for a radical cure in Thailand. He has experiences in both quantitative and qualitative assessments, particularly in community involvement.
